Key Parameters in Screw Selection
Many customers considering to low cost, want to use one machine to make many differernt materials, we totally understand, but some materials can, some can not. When choosing machine, we need to depend on the material nature.
  • Compression Ratio (CR)
    For shear-sensitive materials: lower CR. For high viscosity or crystalline materials: moderate to high CR
  • L/D Ratio (Length-to-Diameter)
    General plastics: L/D = 25–28. Crystalline, filled, or blended plastics: L/D ≥ 30.
  • Screw Material
    General use: Nitrided 38CrMoAl. Abrasive fillers: Bimetallic or hardened steel.
